Travel and Delay

First morning here at Jemima’s.  Slept a solid 6 hours last night.  I was delayed an entire day and had my entire itinerary changed from Phx/Chicago/Brussels/Nairobi to Phx/DC/Zurich/Nairobi with no stopover in Kigali, Rwanda.  Jemima and family’s generosity is still unmatched.  She went and got a phone for Sherman, did two airport pickups, rearranged her entire trip to Dubai in the previous weeks just so she could be here for us.   She’s done some home remodeling and Joshua her son is growing like a weed,  a weed that could body slam you, but a weed nonetheless.  Elvis is in his last year of study at American university in international relations.  He will complete an internship and then go on to work on his Masters degree.  We got to have dinner with Jemima, Elvis, Kivuto, Kevin.  Chapati and beef stew, can’t beat it.   John and Jay are still here, they have found a place.  Was stopped for the “tax on imported goods”  which was a fundraiser, a result of the airport being burned down last year and in need of rebuilding.   All the flights exit on the tarmac and then get shuttled over to the basement for immigration processing.   Got to actually sleep on the plane too after splurging on the neck pillow.  Fancy.  Someone has put together handpicked Bible readings for me for each day.  What a wonderful gift!  Finally heard the result of the U.S. World Cup Match.  Sorry for the loss, USA maybe next time.  Get in touch tomorrow.  Lord bless and keep you all. Today is bank, pharmacy, phone store, and Lutheran Heritage Foundation to get some catechisms and other translated goods.  (update: Lutheran Heritage Foundation cannot be found)
