18 July

Today took on a more upbeat tone as the pastors who did attend were now very well rested and attentive today.  Appreciation was shown and received for the instruction that was shared.  It was deemed the best conference for what was presented but also deemed the worst conference in terms of attendance.  There are many things about missionary work which the general population doesn’t know and with which they need not know.  Just know that it is not the most glamorous, not the most exciting always, and gets quite discouraging, but hold to the same promises that keep all of us going.  Remember (and remind your missionaries and pastors) that this “labor in the Lord is not in vain” and that His is a word that “will never pass away” and it will “prosper for that which he sends it.”  Tomorrow, we take off at around ten, pick up the Uganda brothers from Soy and head out on our journey into Iganga.  I probably will not be posting to this blog until our return on Monday night.  I will be travelling very lightly as we head out into unknown territory.  We are scheduled to be back here in Matunda on Monday night.  Around the dinner table the migration of people from Uganda into the present day countries of East Africa was interesting.  After much heated debate it was finally concluded that “we are one people.”  We even looked at the Wikipedia history of Uganda over evening tea break.  My brain is tired…If you have any questions, there is the option on this blog to submit anything that you’d like and it will be answered at this blogger’s leisure.  Thanks for reading!  Anna’s passage of the day is Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established.”  Amen.
