It seems like you create opportunities to witness just by being yourself, and by being yourself you are anything but the stereotypical foreigner – as in, you are approachable, friendly, and willing to be among the people. Is this a correct observation?

The situations that I find myself in are not typical, as far as foreigners are concerned.  One reason why more opportunities exist is because I’m not shielded from the community to the extent that others might be.  This can be enjoyable and also sometimes stressful or frustrating.  I know that many missionaries who have started out in rural areas ended up being moved to major city centers.  I can see the pluses and minuses to both.
