A Deep Subject

For those of you out in the blogosphere who knew my father, you can tell what this post will be about already.  Whenever someone would say “Well…well…well,” he would quip, “Now that’s a deep subject.”  One thing that is always in need here is sustainable water resources that are easily accessible.  A lot of time can be consumed in a day retrieving water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, etc.  We have an opportunity to provide easily accessible water for the people who live in the upper part of Milimani.  As of now their trek to obtain water is quite arduous having to go from their village, downhill, to the main road and then all the way back uphill carrying 10, 20, or even 30 liters of water.  During the dry season there can even be a long queue to draw water.  As a joint effort with an area stone company we can accomplish this for a relatively low cost compared to the ongoing benefits it will provide.  I’ll keep you posted as this project develops.
